Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson (b. 1967) works with sculpture, painting, photography, film, installation, and digital media. His art is driven by his interests in perception, movement, embodied experience, and feelings of self and community. In the spectacular large-scale projects he's famous for (such as "Waterfalls" in New York harbor), Olafur Eliasson creates art from a palette of space, distance, color and light. This idea-packed talk begins with an experiment in the nature of perception. For his current exhibition project “Life” at the Fondation Beyeler in Riehen (Basel, Switzerland), artist Olafur Eliasson floods half the museum with water dyed green. .

Ólafur Elíasson (fæddur 1967 í Kaupmannahöfn í Danmörku) er dansk-íslenskur listamaður.
